So picture this: Ms. Toland is trying to talk. The door is squeaking open every minute or so (and then crashing shut since everybody always forgets to ease it closed). And the class is not all together focused on the topic of the day.

It wasn't Ms. T's fault. Beside the problem of late arrivals, there was the view: your eyes just tended to wander to the bright blue sky outside those high-up windows and your mind just tended to take off.

Then there was the problem of the time of day--right at that hour before lunch when everything gets a little hazy.
