"Today," Ms. T announced, gesturing to the word she'd written on the blackboard, "we will begin to discuss cancer. Cancer is actually a group of diseases, but they all stem from the abnormal growth of cells. Normally, the cells that make up your body produce more cells only when it's needed. Cancer happens when cells begin to uncontrollably multiply and grow, crowding out normal cells. In a way, a cancerous cell is a cell that's gone crazy."

Then Ms. T ran through the different types of cancer. It was a long list.
